    Predeterminado Mitac Mio 168

    I'm looking at a PDA for multi use. I need it to run CoPilot for car/motorbike use but I also want to run CompeGPS Pocket Air.
    The Mitac looks good for what I need as everything is all bundled into quite a small package.
    The receiver is NMEA complient and will run any software that accepts this.
    Is CompeGPS going to run with this or should I look elsewhere?

    Hello,

    If the NMEA sentence protocol is standard, Pocket Air will work perfectly.

    You can also try the demo version of www.compegps.com.

    I own an Airis 509. This is a Mitac Mio 186, with a differnet badge on the front exactly the same hardware, just marketed under a differnet name here in Spain.

    I run CompeGPS-Pocket-Air perfectly with no problems.

    Check here to calm your fears;
    http://www.airis-computer.com/
    click PDA, and you'll see the 509. It is the same hardware.

    If you interogate it from a PC it actually identifies itself as a Mio Digiwalker !!

    I have CompeGPS & Oziexplorer both ppc versions running perfectly. The NMEA protocol is used and it arrives at the COM2 port.

    Thanks for the reply and your confirmation of the good communication compatibility.

    Good flights,
