Exclamation Direction line does not point towards heading/track direction

My 2.7 version seams to have a bug. When navigating, the direction line (as well as the parallel lines) points randomly to somewhere but the direction of current track (heading). How to fix this?

Hi,

ok, first at all. It's always really appreciated if you can provide as much and exact information as possible.
Lets have a look into my Scrying ball:
- are you navigating while being in ONROAD mode with a routable map?
If so, the position pointer is automatically locked and adjusted to next road. But the direction line it self is continuing showing the real direction, the pointer is showing in OFFRAOD mode at same time.
You can see it if you change the mode betwenn ONROAD/OFFROAD.

I can't remember that it was ever different in the past versions.

Hi Gert,
Thank you for the explanation, but I am afraid I was not clear enough on the bug. The bug is the same as one reported by the forum user udi500 at 01-23-2012. Please not the two attached pics, for a better understanding:

Please note at picture ...Ipad3, that, although I was traveling at 61Km/h, heading to 207degrees, the direction (and consequently, the heading lines) were pointing to 137 degrees. It means a deviation error of about 70 degrees to the left. At pic ...IPad2, I was at 49Km/h heading to 235degres, and the pic shows that the heading direction and lines are pointing to 196 (40 degrees to the left). My experience from this error had shown the direction randomly, not to be trust at all.
Additional comments: I have tried both settings for map orientation: Map track oriented and north up oriented. Neither of them worked. The system seems to be sensible on the position of the device. Even if the user is moving at a steady pace, if he(she) rotates the device, the heading also changes, which makes no sense.
I hope the information is clear and that you can find a solution. the system is useless to me if it doesnot show the right heading direction. I fly balloons for competition and need precise readings.
Gratefully,
Lima Lupercio
