Predeterminado Moving map and maps view

I have a problem with map viewing when I activate moving map funciton. If the map is big (30 - 100 Mb) I can open the map, I can visualize very well the map and apply any zoom level, but when I activate the moving map, as soon as the red arrow appear if the zoom level is lower than 3000 m the map dimensions are cut and gradually the map under the red arrow disappear (zoom level 300m). Only if I reduce the zoom level the full map re-appear and the red arrow on it (but it's impossible to see any detail of the map. Everythink works fine if the map is small (about 5-8 Mb so I can see the red arrow on the map and apply any level of zoom.

My current Compegps pocket is rel. 2.71

Any suggestion to solve the problem ?

    Thanks

    Paolo

Have you installed the TwoNav version?...

If you did so, you must go to the TwoNav version and you must desactivate the autozoom option...

    That's all your problem...

Remember that TwoNav & CompePocket have the same configuration section on the registry.

    Best regards...

No I've not installed the Two map version I've only installed compegps pocket in my PDA. Any other suggestion ? There is also in CompePocket the auto zoom option that can be de-activated ? (I could'n find this option in Compegpspocket menu).

Also a friend of mine on his PDA (different model from mine) tested Compegps pocket and with big size maps had the same problem when activate moving map.

    Thanks

The maps (RMAP) size that give the problem is bigger than 20-30 Mb. With maps smaller than 10Mb no problem.

    Thanks

Have you tested the same map but on ECW format??

I allways use this format and I guess it works good...

Yes I converted the Map from RMAP to ECW+IMP and the file sized has been reduced from 65Mb to 16 Mb and the problem with moving map has been solved. But now I'd convert all the maps and it will take a lot (more than 50 !); any possibility to solve the bug with the RMAP (that should be a Compegps standard, isnt'it ?).
Anyway thanks for the support, at least now I can use the moving map function !

    Bye

But now I'd convert all the maps and it will take a lot (more than 50 !)
Remember that you could do it easly like this:
Maps->Convert Raster maps->select a lot of maps at the same time->save it on ecw format

And ECW is more powerful, because you could use it on a lot of programs, like ArcGis, GlobalMaper, OziExplorer, and more...

    Good Luck.

Thanks I know about multiple conversion, but It takes an average of 15 m each map and it doesn't accept all the 50 maps in one shot but I have to load 10-15 each time.

    Thanks.
