Thought of a solar charger or external battery?

I don't think this will solve Tatos problem.
I don't think he will have enough time to charge the battery at the breaks of the 42h race.

Maybe a spare battery is enough?
If not, you could charge the first battery in the time he use the second battery.
In this case he would need a external charger.

Tato, what kind of race is this, where you need 42h?

But the question, of the availibility of the AA battery compartment is still open!

Hi all, i play "airsoft" (war simulation) and the race we play usually go on for 12 / 24 h, some time 40/42 houres.
I can not use 220volt charger during the game, i am in the open field with backpack and no other stuffs.
If i will not find the aa battery compartement the solution will be to buy another li-ion battery (i think 2 batteries for 35 houres is ok,i will sleep 7 houres)

Also, i will have other gps (oregon 550) with me but i want to test also the aventura with .ecw maps.

    Thank you all for cooperation.

Sorry Tato, you will lose your war fight due to us

Take care that AA Alkaline battery life time is less than the included Lithium-Battery (7-8h instead of 9-10h with full GPS and screen usage). But if you take AA Lithium, it last longer.

the AA battery holder for 49 euro it is a nonsense!
    No thank you staff!
could it work with rechargeable battery or only with lithium NON recharchable battery?
I think that with recharcheable battery could work only max 3-5 hours and lithium AA battery NON rechargeable are very expensive and NON ecologic.
Sure is better (and cheaper!) a second lithium battery or something like this:
    http://www.kaidomain.com/ProductDeta...ProductId=9855
with more 18650 lithium rechargeable spare battery in the bag.
    or this:
    http://cgi.ebay.it/USB-AA-Battery-ca...:B:SILF:IT:102
a lot cheaper then 49 euros!!
