Predeterminado Mounting Sportiva+ as USB-storage device

The Sportiva+ is a really nice gadget

But mounting of the Sportiva+ does not works under Mac OS X
I Tried it also with Parallels 5 Windows XP SP3 on my Mac, that's works.
Also Mounting the Sportiva on Ubuntu Linux works.

With the Aventura or Sportiva I had no problems with mounting under Mac OS X.

Does someone else has similar experience?
    Or better a solution.

    complain to Compe!

That's important to get better Mac support.

With the Aventura or Sportiva mounting is not a problem, just dismounting of the Sportiva.
Why there is a problem with Sportiva+ I can't understand.

    Predeterminado Fantastic

    That means,
that the sportiva + would never connect to Mac OSX.
So users of the Sportiva + could never use a CompeLand version for mac,
    if it's available.
    It's great.
I payed 600 € for the Gadget and Maps.
All the money only to be a Beta tester.
    I'm very happy.

Did you only pay 600 bucks for your Mac System?...

    That means,

The problem is not of Compe. The problem is about the Holux's chipset, and I guess they are working on it...

Anyway... Why do you think that the problem is because the GPS?. Why not because Mac system??...
The Sportiva+ is working at least under linux, unix & windows platforms. Mac is not a open system, and you must know it. If you are a manufacturer and Mac doesn't like you, your products cannot be use on his system... that's it...

Of course, this is only that I think about the problem. I'm an user like you, and I doesn't like Mac products, of course...

I would like to speak English a little bit better for explain what I think about Mac company, but I am not able to do it, sorry...

I've explain the same in Spanish on this topic:

Hello, GNU/Linux != Darwin and support way more HW, but maybe it is related to the same I recognized: firmware 2.3 broke something,
at least it worked perfectly before.

sdi seems to be Sportiva internal storage, Kernel is 2.6.38-2-amd64 (64bit, yes)

I recon it simply has not been tested ...

Too bad I have no backup of the previous firmware.

    Clues, any?

Same with me: Ubuntu, Kernel 2.6.38-8. Takes about 3 minutes to mount.

Works instantly on my Mandriva Desktop with Kernel 2.6.32. Seems that a kernel module has changed to work more strict and the Holux Firmware is somewhat sluggish.

Como siempre: WinXX accepts all sluggish written protocols - mostly because they don't know better .
